Only the country which gave us rock 'N' roll and the teenage identity (For better or worse) could bring
Boogey Men and
Giant Apes together in the interests of a National Holiday observance.
Here's to having not grown up in some shit-hole third-world death factory. Salute!

So...how did you make out old man?
I applaud your good taste in putting up pix of one of the greatest holiday flicks ever, Laurel & Hardy's "Babes In Toyland" (a.k.a. "March of the Wooden Soldiers"). Laurel & Hardy are great and that film is easily one of their very best.
"Mighty Joe Young" is real cool, too...just stay away from the remake.
i'm immortal...
Brian: Babes in Toyland (or, as I know it 'March of the Wooden Soldiers')& MJY have been a Thanksgiving tradition in my family as far back as I can remember. They still show 'Soldiers' on Channel 11 (8am), though they don't show MJY anymore (sigh). God bless DVD!
Glad to know I am not the only adherent with regard to such traditions.
I just picked up a DVD of "Babes In Toyland" put out by MGM/20th Century Fox. It says "March of the Wooden Soldiers" on the cover, but the print has the original "Babes In Toyland" titles and is in beautiful black and white to boot, the way it should be.
